DR WHO - CROOKED MAN

BEFORE & AFTER PHOTOS

Working for Millennium FX I restored this Dr Who 'Crooked Man' creature suit for a Dr Who Exhibition.

The creature suit was mounted on an existing stand, where it had slumped over time. The arms were originally constructed with thin latex blenders, which were designed to create a seamless body. I carefully removed the arms, reinforced the blenders to enhance their strength, and repaired any tears.  Joe Browning created bespoke arm fittings to support the weight of the arms and hold them in a more secure position.

I then worked across the body fixing various tears and holes and repainting the areas to match the original aged paintwork. I made sure the suit was adequately supported and filled on its stand to ensure the pieces didn't deform or deflate in the future. Once this happens and the latex distorts it becomes a more involved process to restore.

Finally I painted the stand to spruce it up and off he went!
